The 33rd Annual Rochester Area Heritage Festival will be held Memorial Weekend 2010 and is currently seeking a wide variety of performers to entertain visitors throughout the two-day event.
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST BEFORE REPLYING TO DETERMINE IF YOU ARE A GOOD FIT FOR THE FESTIVAL.
1. Festival/Family-friendly – All acts of the Festival need to be appropriate for all ages. If you cannot perform your act in front of your grandmother or a kindergartener, chances are that it probably isn’t a good fit for the Festival.
2. Musicians – We are interested in a variety of music: Classical, Rock, Pop, Reggae, Bluegrass, Country… We require ORIGINAL MUSIC ONLY. We are only focusing on the developing local original music scene. We are not interested in cover bands, with the exception of those playing classical or historical works.
3. Performers/Other Acts – We are always interested in having interesting and eye-catching performances for the Festival. This could be anything from juggling to dancing to demonstrations.
4. Contracts – All performers must sign contractual agreements prior to playing the festival. This contract explains the Dos and Don’ts of the Festival as well as your performance times and rate of pay.

NOTE: We receive many submissions and it does take us a decent amount of time to review them (which is why we are requesting acts early for the next season). Please be patient and we will respond to your submission as soon as we are able.
